We hope the summer has been treating you well.

The Manor Country Hotel & Restaurant takes the lead for this edition, as our very own (and newest addition to the team – Hello Sandra!) Sandra Dibling reviews this beautiful, picturesque and delightful country retreat on page 6.

This issue also features a slew of other great restaurant reviews from an eclectic mix of establishments such as wonderful traditional pub The White Horse in Kings Sutton, The Maytime Inn in Burford (nominated in the Oxfordshire Restaurant Awards 2021), the quaint yet exceedingly popular Vaults & Garden Café in the centre of Oxford, long-time favourite of ours – Pierre Victoire in Little Clarendon Street, Qumins on St Clements Street (our designer claims it to be the best Indian meal he’s ever had!), and the bustling Cockadoo in Nuneham Courtnay with their great themed evening and live acts.

For those of you who fancy a bit more greenery before the summer comes to an end, we have features on two great and beautiful golf courses in Oxfordshire: Kirtlington Golf Club on page 42 and Frilford Heath Golf Club on page 44. For beauty of a different nature, why not visit Sarah Wiseman Gallery in Summertown for their current exhibition on the works of Sarah Spackman and Linda Bloomfield – see page 32 for more info.

The Oxford Artisan Distillery (TOAD) has finally opened their doors and would love to welcome you to try their wonderful gins and take a tour of the distillery. Check out page 22 for more info.

Last but not least, we are proud to announce the return of the Living In Oxford Awards! Take a look at pages 8 & 9 to see some of the great establishments that are already involved.

And as always, you can find up to date event listings and musical concerts listed within these pages.

Happy reading!
