Three Pigeons

Three Pigeons

A quirky coaching inn with an all fresh kitchen on the London – Oxford turnpike.  We source from local farms, wild food suppliers and our onsite vegetable and herb garden. Delightful evening menus with daily changes to utilise ingredients at their very best – seasonal, simple food. We have Real Ale from Shotover Brewing Company, wines from Oxfordshire vineyards, and fresh salads and home bakes throughout the day.

The LASSCO shop within The Three Pigeons, is an array of beautiful, unusual, and often spectacular Architectural Salvage – and, being ever-changing, provides the backdrop to your occasion here that will make it truly memorable and unique – whether warmed by roaring log fires in winter, or amidst the statuary and fountains in the gardens in summer.

We’re 12 miles from Oxford, approximately 30 miles from Heathrow and being at Junction 7 of the M40 we’re only 25 minutes from the M25.

One review of “Three Pigeons”

    Emma & Sammy Davis

    30th November 2021

It took just a very short journey from Oxford to arrive at the Three Pigeons, a delightful 18th Century Coaching Inn. My sister Sammy and I received a warm welcome from the staff and loved the homely atmosphere. After being greeted by Mel and Antonio, we chose to be seated at the far end of the restaurant, with a fantastic view right through to the bar. Surrounded by an array of beautiful and unusual architectural salvage we perused the simple yet refined menu and selected an Oxford Rosè wine, produced in Brightwell Vineyard, to accompany our meals.

We decided to go for Soup of the Day as our starter, which was much needed with the cold weather setting in. For main course Sammy opted for the Oxfordshire Rib Eye Steak and I chose the Chestnut, Leek and Mushroom Tart. The food was mouthwateringly delicious and you could tell the produce had been sourced locally and all home made in the Three Pigeons Kitchen.

During this late winter evening you could not quite grasp the enchanting statuary and fountains of the gardens, we plan to return during the summer to experience this exquisite ambience.

Fabulous Live jazz began around 8pm, which is a Thursday night tradition at the Three Pigeons. The great jazz vibes and wonderful food, all in the quirky cool setting of the Three Pigeons was a wonderful fusion and I would highly recommend visiting soon.
